* English Follows 평화의 인사를 드립니다. 한국 정부의 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단을 촉구하는 서명에 동참해주신 분들께 소식 전합니다 :) <팔레스타인과 연대하는 한국 시민사회 긴급행동>과 <아덱스저항행동>은 1월 19일(금), 무기 수출 허가 기관인 대전 방위사업청 앞에서 ‘이스라엘 무기 수출 중단을 촉구하는 집회’를 성황리에 열고, 1만 명의 서명도 무사히 전달했어요. 서명에 동참해 주시고 연대의 마음 보내주신 모든 분들께 감사드립니다.  2024.01.19. 대전 방위사업청 앞. 집회 ‘한국 정부는 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단하라 Stop Arming Israel’, <사진=스튜디오R>  2024.01.19. 대전 방위사업청 앞. 집회 ‘한국 정부는 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단하라 Stop Arming Israel’, <사진=스튜디오R>  2024.01.19. 대전 방위사업청 앞. 집회 ‘한국 정부는 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단하라 Stop Arming Israel’, <사진=스튜디오R> 이날 집회에서는 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단을 촉구하고 팔레스타인에 연대하는 시민사회단체 활동가와 종교인 등의 발언이 이어졌습니다. 방위사업청이 “K-방산이라는 이름으로 무기 산업의 본질을 가리고, 세계 시민 안전을 위협하는 일에 동조” 하고 있다는 사실과 함께, “팔레스타인 집단학살로 막대한 돈을 버는 집단이 있다는 사실을 기억”하자고 강조했어요.  대전 지역 활동가는 “(대전시의 방위산업도시 육성 정책에 대해) 대전시가 타인의 죽음을 먹고 성장한 지역이 되지 않기를 바란다”며 “이윤을 추구하다 인간성을 잃어버리는 우를 범하지 말 것”을 요구했어요.  또한 여러 발언자들은 한국 정부에 이스라엘과의 무기 거래, 군사협력 중단을 요구하고, 즉각 휴전과 학살 중단을 위해 모든 외교적 노력을 다할 것을 촉구했습니다.  이어 팔레스타인과 연대하는 노래 공연, 방위사업청이 이스라엘과 관계를 끊을 것을 촉구하는 퍼포먼스도 진행했어요. 약 160명의 시민들이 방위사업청을 향해 “Stop Arming Israel!”을 외쳤습니다. 노동당, 녹색당, 정의당, 진보당 4개 정당은 방위사업청 건물 주변에 현수막을 걸기도 했습니다. 평일 낮, 그것도 강추위 속에서 진행된 집회였음에도 많은 분들이 참석해주셨습니다. 약 3주 만에 국내외 1만 명이 서명에 동참해주셨고요! 지구 반대편 팔레스타인에서 일어나는 참상이 우리와 무관한 일이 아니라는 점에 공감하는 많은 분들과 연결될 수 있어 뜻깊었습니다.   2024.01.19. 대전 방위사업청 앞. ‘한국 정부의 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단을 촉구하는 서명 전달식 <사진=스튜디오R> 2024.01.19. 대전 방위사업청 앞. ‘한국 정부는 이스라엘 무기 수출 중단하라 Stop Arming Israel’ 퍼포먼스, <사진=스튜디오R> 지금까지 팔레스타인 가자 지구 사망자수는 2만 8천 명이 넘었습니다. 서명운동은 마감되었지만 팔레스타인을 향한 연대와 관심은 계속되어야만 합니다. 또한 계속해서 분쟁 지역을 막론하고 무기를 수출하고 K-방산을 홍보하려 하는 한국 정부를 향한 날카로운 시선도 지속되어야 합니다. 팔레스타인 평화를 위한 길에서 앞으로도 함께해 주세요! 🇵🇸 <팔레스타인과 연대하는 한국 시민사회 긴급행동> 활동 소식들은 노션 페이지에서 계속 살펴보실 수 있습니다. 서울에서도 격주로 이스라엘 대사관 인근 집회와 행진을 진행하고 있어요. 9차 집회는 2월 17일(토) 오후 2시, 청계천 무교동 사거리 (서울 중구 무교로 32)에서 열릴 예정입니다.  We greet you in peace.  We would like to bring news to those who joined us in collecting signatures  for the Korean government to stop arming Israel :) On January 19, Urgent Action in ROK Civil Society in Solidarity with Palestine and Campaign Against Arms Fair : Stop ADEX Action successfully held the rally “Stop Arming Israel : ROK Government, Stop Arms Exports!” in front of the Defense Acquisitions Program Administration (DAPA), the institution responsible for approving arms export, and submitted the petition of 10,000 people. Speeches pointed out that DAPA is “a collaborator in endangering the people of the world, hiding the true nature of its arms industry behind the name of ‘K-Defense’,” and that we must all “remember that there are groups making vast amount of money from the genocide in Palestine.”  A local activist in Daejeon said that he does not want “Daejeon to grow by feeding on the deaths of others” and demanded the city to “avoid the grave mistake of abandoning our humanity in pursuit of profit,” regarding its policy of fostering the defense industry. Many other speakers urged the ROK government to cease all arms trade and military cooperation, and to put in all diplomatic efforts for an immediate ceasefire and a stop to the genocide.   The speeches were followed by musical and other performances in solidarity with Palestine and urging DAPA to cut ties with Israel. Around 160 people shouted “Stop Arming Israel!” towards the DAPA office. Four political parties, including the Labor Party, the Green Party, the Justice Party and the Progressive Party, also hung banners around the DAPA building.  Many people joined us despite the protest being held on a weekday afternoon in the freezing cold. Even though the petition is over, our solidarity and attention towards Palestine must continue. Furthermore, regardless of armed conflict areas, we must continue our sharp vigilance against any attempt by the ROK government to export arms and market its “K-Defense.” Please continue to join us on the road to peace in Palestine! 🇵🇸  News from Urgent Action in ROK Civil Society in Solidarity with Palestine can be seen on our Notion page.
