Please stop violating or human rights and the ocean! This is an absolutely horrific idea that should never be allowed to happen for the safety of people and marine life!

I am writing because I am concerned about the pending release of Fukishima waste water. The Pacific Ocean should no longer be contaminated by radioactive materials. Radioactive materials released after the Fukushima nuclear accident devastated the surrounding land, making it uninhabitable. Contaminated fish continue to be caught. Last January, a rockfish caught in 20-meter-deep water 52 km away from the nuclear power plant, was found to have radioactive levels 14 times above safe limits. Please do not contaminate our ocean. Thank you for your consideration.

It is unconscionable for you to dump this radioactive wastewater, knowing it will pollute the ocean and poison not only your own people, animals, fish and plants, but the same in far off lands. Fukishima was a disaster borne largely out of a denial of the facts on the ground. You are doing the same thing here. What have you learned? Nothing.

Japan has started releasing radioactive waste water into the Pacific, from the devastating multiple meltdowns at the Fukushima nuclear power reactors. The release is opposed by fisherfolk, scientists, civil society groups and individuals.
